Pull Pack (PP) Part 0

The first of the collection is Pull Pack, also known as "PP" series by Amada Japan. This is actually a prototype of their first series of Dragonball Cards. Collectors may notice that the images on these cards are exactly the same as Bandai's Carddass Part 1 series. True, but the major differences between the two sets are the background color of their prism designs, and the backing design. I'm not exactly sure who came out with the first sets but the speculations are the PP Part 0 may have existed as early as 1987. The back of these cards are white with an image and Japanese letterings describing the character or event of the card. This set has become very rare since it's so old. But also contributing to its rareness is the fact that not very many people collected PP at first so not many are still in existent, especially if you are looking for perfect condition. On average, market price for these are approximately $250usd-$350usd for a full set of 6 prisms plus 36 regulars. The regulars are actually harder to complete a set than the prisms. The most popular of the prisms are No.1 and No.2, both of Goku. Those go for approximately $25-$35usd each in Japan, again, depending on condition of the card. Truly a collector's set.
